Dalai Lama - Why meditate?
Is it the intake of Oxygen or is the breathing used like the mantra
to 'uncouple' our mind from thought, that relieves us of
'painful' emotions?
Can anyone explain. I meditate and everyday I do about
20 minutes of deep breathing to benefit my body. BUT,
I never used breathing in my meditation.
My meditation isn't contemplative but rather negation.
I attempt to stop thought, leaving thoughtless awareness.
